About the Position

Job Title: Level 4 RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in the Operating Room - Travel experience required License: - Current and unencumbered RN license Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - PALS Must-Have: - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing - Completion of approximately 70 Net Learning modules and passing ECG/Medication exam with a score of 80% or higher within one week of acceptance Description: Position summary: A professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and teaching utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. Based on assessment including potential risk, demonstrates the ability to develop a plan of care with goals and outcomes. Incorporates therapeutic relationships with patients and their families in care delivery. Acts as a liaison between physicians, patients and families, and collaborates with other health care members. May participate in health center and department committees. Takes formal responsibility for teaching and professional development of others. The clinical nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to different age groups according to specific chronological age, developmental age, and/or psychosocial maturity. Position Responsibilities/Expectations: Conducts comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients according to established standards, including safety and educational needs. Directs the establishment of a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data and communicates this plan appropriately. Implements and evaluates the plan of care based on identified patient goals and intended outcomes. Modifies the plan of care based on reassessment of the patient’s status. Completes documentation according to established standards and utilizes established documentation tools appropriately. Assesses the readiness of the patient and significant others to learn and implements the individualized education plan according to their needs. Leads in departmental or unit-based initiatives, including providing in-service opportunities or serving as project point for committees and task forces. Provides age-appropriate care for specific populations served. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Ensures an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating established standards of performance each day.
