Achievable monthly bonus program PTO starting at 6 months of service Responsibilities: As a Sous Chef at Midwood Smokehouse in the vibrant Charlotte market, you will play a crucial role in the culinary success of our restaurant. Your responsibilities will include: Culinary Leadership: Collaborate with the Head Chef and culinary team to execute the menu with precision and creativity. Ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality of dishes. Kitchen Operations: Oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleanliness. Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety. Menu Execution : Contribute to menu execution and staying true to the authentic barbecue traditions that define Midwood Smokehouse. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to train, motivate, and mentor the team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Quality Control: Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to meet the restaurant's standards. Implement and maintain high culinary standards. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting. Culinary degree or equivalent experience. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Passion for barbecue and a creative approach to menu development. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
