Salary: $122,000 Base + 7%–10% Annual Performance Bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, bilingual Branch Manager to lead and grow a freight forwarding operation in the Houston market. This is a senior leadership position requiring a well-rounded logistics professional with a strong combination of business development, operational leadership, financial management, and team leadership experience. The ideal candidate will not be solely operations-focused. This individual must have a proven ability to generate new business, grow branch revenue, manage a P&L, develop key customer relationships, oversee freight forwarding operations, and lead a high-performing team. The Branch Manager will have direct responsibility for the growth and profitability of the Houston operation while ensuring exceptional operational execution and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall commercial, operational, and financial performance of the Houston branch.
• Develop and execute strategies to aggressively grow branch revenue and market presence.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new customers throughout the Houston and Texas markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, prospects, vendors, and business partners.
• Manage and grow existing key accounts while identifying additional revenue opportunities.
• Oversee international and domestic freight forwarding operations, including air, ocean, and ground transportation, imports, and exports.
• Manage branch P&L, budgets, profitability, margins, forecasts, and overall financial performance.
• Establish, monitor, and manage commercial, operational, and financial KPIs.
• Analyze branch performance and translate results into measurable action plans.
• Lead, develop, and hold the local team accountable for performance and service standards.
• Ensure operational processes support customer expectations, profitability, and continued business growth.
• Balance business development initiatives with operational excellence and financial discipline.
• Develop the Houston operation with an entrepreneurial, hands-on, and results-driven approach.

Revenue & Performance Expectations

This position carries significant responsibility for branch growth and new business development.

2026 Branch Revenue Target: $1.5 million

2027 Branch Revenue Target: $5.7 million

Qualifications

10+ years of experience within logistics and/or freight forwarding.

Minimum 5 years of branch management, general management, or comparable leadership experience.

Proven experience leading teams and managing overall branch performance.

Candidates should have a demonstrated track record of running a branch or comparable P&L and successfully growing revenue, including the ability to explain the strategies and results behind that growth.

Strong background in business development and sales, including acquiring new customers and generating new revenue.

Established knowledge of the Houston/Texas logistics and freight forwarding market.

Strong operational expertise across air freight, ocean freight, ground transportation, imports, and exports.

Demonstrated experience managing P&L, budgets, margins, profitability, forecasting, and financial performance.

Strong understanding of commercial, operational, and financial KPIs.

Proven ability to manage and grow key customer accounts.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Candidates must be free from any non-compete agreement or restrictive covenant that would prevent or materially restrict their ability to generate sales, develop new customers, or conduct business on behalf of the Houston branch.
