Unit Manager (Full-Time) – Calvert City Nursing & Rehab

What You’ll DoAs Unit Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day to day success of your unit. You’ll work alongside nursing staff, physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and consistent care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead, supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff
Monitor resident care and ensure individualized care plans are followed and updated
Build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and team members
Participate in morning meetings, care plan meetings, NAR, QAPI, and other required meetings
Review labs, diagnostics, orders, and daily documentation and ensure timely follow-up
Step in as Charge Nurse when needed
Participate in the on call rotation
Assist with admissions and new resident onboarding
Provide direct nursing care when needed
Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity
Respond promptly and courteously to resident call systems
Recognize and report changes in resident condition
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to ongoing assessments
Help foster a culture built on quality, respect, service, and integrity
We’re looking for a nurse who is not only clinically strong, but also enjoys leading, encouraging, and developing a team .
You’ll need:
An active, unencumbered Kentucky or multistate compact RN or LPN license
Current CPR certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to understand and apply applicable regulations
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to support and motivate staff
A professional, dependable, courteous, and resident-centered approach
The ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
