Accounting Supervisor

Seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate transaction processing, supporting month‑end close activities, and maintaining compliance with accounting policies in a dynamic, growth‑oriented manufacturing environment. This position is fully onsite. Key Responsibilities Position Summary Seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate transaction processing, supporting month‑end close activities, and maintaining compliance with accounting policies in a dynamic, growth‑oriented manufacturing environment. Maintain accounting processes, procedures, and documentation to support consistency and accuracy across the accounting function. Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, collections, and related transactions. Serve as a resource for the accounting team, providing guidance on transaction processing, issue resolution, and accounting best practices. Assist with oversight of AP operations and provide support during periods of increased workload. Review and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies. Manage accounting activities related to payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and other balance sheet accounts. Support month‑end close activities, financial reporting, and ad hoc analysis for leadership. Assist with internal and external audit requests and maintain accurate supporting documentation. Help prioritize team workload and contribute to the development and training of accounting staff. Partner cross‑functionally with operations, procurement, human resources, and other business leaders to support organizational objectives and resolve accounting matters. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, or multi‑entity environment. Strong experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. Solid understanding of US GAAP and accrual‑based accounting principles. Experience with month‑end close and account reconciliations. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis. Experience working with ERP systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred CPA, CMA, ACCA, or similar professional certification. Experience within manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or other operationally focused industries. Previous supervisory, lead, or mentoring experience. Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or entities. Proven ability to drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
