If you have a strong background in spray application, paint mixing, and surface prep—and you care about doing the job right the first time—you’ll fit right in.This is a hands-on role where your skill and attention to detail directly impact the final product.What You’ll DoYou’ll own the full painting process from prep to finish:Surface Prep & SetupChemically clean and prepare aluminum surfaces for paintSand, buff, and refine surfaces using DA sanders, buffers, and hand toolsMask and prep components to ensure clean, precise finishesMix single-stage urethane paints using computerized systems for exact color matchingSpray ApplicationApply coatings using HVLP gravity-fed spray gunsDeliver consistent, high-end automotive-quality finishes across all productsIdentify and correct imperfections (runs, orange peel, coverage issues)Equipment & Materials ManagementMaintain and clean spray equipment and paint systemsAccurately match part numbers, work orders, and paint codesSafely handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materialsQuality & Continuous ImprovementRead blueprints and ensure builds meet exact customer specificationsSupport process improvements and quality initiativesAssist with paint inventory and material trackingCross-train and contribute across the department as neededWhat You BringProven experience in automotive or industrial paintingStrong knowledge of HVLP spray techniques and finish quality standardsExperience with urethane paints, paint codes, and mixing systemsAbility to troubleshoot finish defects and adjust technique accordinglySolid math skills and attention to detailComfort working in a production paint booth environmentDependable, safety-focused, and team-orientedWork Environment & SafetyYou’ll be working in a professional paint booth environment where safety is critical.Required PPE includes respirator, paint suit, gloves, apron, and bootsStrict adherence to safety and handling procedures is expectedScheduleFull-time, Monday - Friday and Saturday's based on the business needsWhy Experienced Painters Choose UsSteady, full-time work with consistent productionOpportunity to apply and refine high-level finishing skillsTeam that values craftsmanship, efficiency, and qualityCross-training and growth opportunities within the departmentKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:High School Diploma, GED or higher level education and 3 years experience or the equivalent combination.Working knowledge of all aspects of single stage automotive painting including all associated equipment and processesMath proficiency – Accuracy in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Accuracy in computing ratios, rates, and percentages. Accuracy in mathematical reasoning to calculate product needed to complete production requirements.Measuring proficiency – Accuracy in the use and reading of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, depth gauges, etc.Reading comprehension – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and safety instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Proficient computer skills (email, MRP/ERP, internet, etc.)Forklift license and operating experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
