Veterinary Technician

About the Position Washington County Veterinary Hospital is located in Wakefield, Rhode Island. We are a modern facility providing exceptional veterinary care and are seeking a full‑time experienced veterinary technician to join our team. Responsibilities Properly handle and restrain animals. Room patients for procedures. Assist in surgery, surgical recovery, and anesthesia. Place IV catheters, draw blood, and run bloodwork. Position animals for X‑ray imaging. Operate laboratory equipment. Communicate with clients and team members. Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician. Knowledge of industry tools and equipment. Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare. Experience with proper animal handling and restraint. Passion for working with animals and their owners. Strong client education skills. Team player willing to continue learning. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Compensation Salary: Up to $30.00 hourly based upon experience.
