Security Officer Armed Route Driver – Polkton, NC Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Fri 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM; Sat 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM; Sun 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner while following post orders and use‑of‑force guidelines for an armed assignment. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle activity in accordance with location protocols and reporting requirements. Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and public officials as needed. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
