Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Route Driver in Polkton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following post orders and use-of-force guidelines for an armed assignment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and/or vehicle activity in accordance with location protocols and reporting requirements.
• Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and public officials as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
