Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (7P–7A)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Emergency Department serving all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting with conditions such as respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis needs, and hypertension
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5, adjusting as needed based on patient acuity
• Operate GE monitoring equipment and standard ED equipment in accordance with facility protocols
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
• Float to like assignments as required and collaborate as an engaged, positive team member

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Associate of Nursing degree (minimum required education)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from facility to qualify for travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EHR system strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency environment with a team-oriented, positive attitude
