Job Description Manage a personal injury litigation caseload from active litigation through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documents. Take and defend depositions. Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences. Develop litigation strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and case value. Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, medical providers, and experts. Negotiate settlements while preparing cases for trial when necessary. Collaborate with attorneys and litigation support staff to deliver outstanding client outcomes. Handle approximately 60 to 80 active litigation files with values ranging from approximately $25,000 to high six figures. Continue developing litigation and trial skills through direct mentorship from experienced attorneys. Qualifications Active Illinois Bar license. 2+ years of personal injury litigation experience. Experience representing either plaintiffs or insurance defense clients. Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom skills. Excellent communication and client relationship abilities. Organized with the ability to manage multiple active files. Self-motivated, coachable, and committed to exceptional client advocacy.
