Payroll Clerk

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Position Summary The Timekeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate employee time and attendance records to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. This role ensures compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and payroll standards. Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and process employee timesheets for accuracy and policy compliance Monitor daily time entries, missed punches, overtime, and schedule exceptions Ensure supervisor approvals are completed before payroll deadlines Investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies and payroll errors Prepare and submit approved time records for payroll processing Track employee leave (sick, vacation, FMLA, etc.) and maintain accurate balances Update timekeeping systems for employee status changes Maintain proper documentation for audits and payroll transactions Requirements High School Diploma/GED required Minimum 2 years of payroll/timekeeping experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with payroll systems (QuickBooks, Paychex preferred) Strong attention to detail and confidentiality Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Preferred Associate/Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or Business Experience with Oracle or PeopleSoft systems Knowledge of payroll regulations, garnishments, and year‑end processes #J-18808-Ljbffr
