The Gail Borden Public Library is seeking a dedicated Branch Assistant to join its cross-trained team in Elgin, Illinois. This role involves assisting patrons with checking out materials, providing readers’ advisory, and managing library resources effectively. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma, customer service experience, and a familiarity with basic computer applications. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus. Working hours total 18 hours per week across two branches including evenings and weekends.
