Tax Accountant

Tax Accountant -- Hybrid Role (near La Salle, MI) A well-established CPA firm founded in the 1930s is looking for a Tax and Accounting Professional to join their team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position offering a hybrid work model, requiring 3x per week in-office (south of Detroit). They're seeking someone with a strong accounting/bookkeeping foundation, eager to contribute to both tax preparation and general accounting functions. What you'll do: Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns. Assist with financial statements, bookkeeping, and journal entries. Utilize various accounting software. Occasionally jump in to handle bank reconciliations and other financial tasks as needed. Who they're looking for: Experienced in general accounting: You're comfortable with financial statements, bookkeeping, and managing finances. Tax experience is a plus but not required: If you have prior tax preparation experience (individual or corporate), that's a big bonus! CPA firm experience is a plus but not required: We're open to candidates with diverse backgrounds. Leadership/management experience is a plus but not required: If you've led a team in the past, we want to hear about it! A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
