May treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth. May fit dental appliances or provide preventive care. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To relieve dental pain and infection. To maintain quality dental care equal to or greater than the private sector. Motivate the employees of the dental clinic, especially those involved in direct dental service delivery. To provide the dental procedures of prevention and restorative to include: Exam & x-rays Prophylaxis Sealants Scale and rootplane Extractions Alveoloplasty Biopsies Denture repairs and relines Fillings (composite and amalgam) Stayplates Stayplate and partial denture repairs and relines Cast crowns Stainless crowns Fixed bridges (as center allows) Root canal therapy (as center allows) Other duties or projects as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of current dental principles. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Graduate from an accredited American Dental School. DDS or DMD degree.
