Emergency Nurse

As an Emergency Nurse, you will deliver patient and family-centered care within the Emergency Department. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care is provided to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Recognize the patient or designee as the source of control and a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care.
• Deliver developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, evidence-based care while anticipating changes in patient outcomes.
• Communicate and advocate for patient values and preferences as part of the care plan evaluation.
• Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams to achieve quality patient care.
• Utilize data to monitor outcomes of care processes and improve quality and safety of healthcare systems.
• Minimize risk of harm to patients and providers through effective system practices and individual performance.
• Utilize information technology to support decision-making and care coordination, including navigating and documenting in the EMR.
• Participate in committees, professional development, and community engagement to support organizational goals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License
• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
• BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association with at least 3 months before expiration required upon hire
