Key Qualifications:

• Approved as a School Social Worker by the Michigan Department of Education
• Previous experience in elementary or preschool settings is beneficial
• Strong understanding of student support services, behavioral interventions, and individualized plans
• Able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary school teams and families
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities Include:

• Assess students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement individualized plans to address barriers to learning
• Provide direct support and counseling to students, in both individual and group formats
• Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to coordinate interventions and reinforce positive social behaviors
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources as needed
• Support crisis intervention, prevention programs, and advocacy for student well-being

This contract role offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, onsite at education locations near Ionia, Michigan, spanning from late August to mid-May.
