Role Description The Personal Injury Legal Assistant will support attorneys with the management of personal injury cases from intake through resolution in an on-site, full-time role based in Atlanta, GA. Day-to-day responsibilities include organising and maintaining client files, drafting and preparing legal documents and correspondence, and managing calendars, deadlines, and court dates. The role involves communicating with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other parties to obtain records, relay case updates, and support settlement negotiations. The Legal Assistant will also assist with case intake, data entry, file opening, and basic research, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow up. This position requires proactive coordination, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering professional, client-centred service. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of law and personal injury practice, with the ability to understand case processes and legal terminology. Experience with legal document preparation, including drafting letters, pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement demand packages. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical offices, and court personnel. Administrative assistance capabilities, such as scheduling, file management (physical and electronic), data entry, and record organization. Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar legal support role within a litigation or personal injury environment. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency with office software and case management systems; ability to learn new tools quickly.
