Humanities Adjunct (Summer and Fall 2026) Posting Summary Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. We are currently seeking adjuncts in the field of Humanities. Responsibilities Plan and teach humanities courses effectively in a classroom setting for diverse student populations. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. Schedule and Work Location Hours will vary between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm depending on availability and scheduling needs. Position may be in person or online. Telework options are subject to change based on business needs. Qualifications Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in the specific discipline. Official transcripts will be required prior to final offer. Demonstrated ability to use relevant technology and learning management systems to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication. Commitment to student engagement in the online teaching environment including consistent communication and virtual support. Technology capability (access to WIFI, computers) to teach remotely. Ability to teach in a variety of modalities including virtually. Demonstrated competency and commitment to continuous professional development in virtual education. Complete Growing with Canvas and TOPS 2.2 prior to teaching. Additional Considerations Prior teaching experience. Work experience in the field. Experience with online teaching. Substantial, proven experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments at a regionally accredited institution. Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
