Job Title: CNC Operator
Job Description
The CNC Operator is responsible for the timely and accurate production of metallic machined parts according to the specifications and requirements of the shop traveler. This role involves error-free processing of each order and completing the necessary paperwork and computer data entries associated with the CNC Production Process.
Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, clean, setup, load, and unload the CNC Router.
• Receive orders from the Production Planner and carry out the production process effectively.
• Allocate, pull, and load materials into the machine, run the job, inspect products, and clean, label, and stage finished parts.
• Offload scrap or stock and return any materials as needed.
• Process jobs through the system and maintain an organized, clean work area.
• Verify the quality to ensure the product meets customer specifications.
• Regularly clean and maintain equipment and machinery.
• Program and troubleshoot CNC Router functions.
• Understand and align with company objectives and mission.
• Practice a willingness to learn production and distribution methodologies.
• Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, quality standards, and procedures.
• Cross-train other team members as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Two or more years of machine operating experience.
• Intermediate or higher CNC operation experience.
• Good reading and math skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to measure using different tools.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction.
• Strong work ethic; self-motivated.
• Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Coursework in metalworking, blueprint reading, drafting, and math.
• Experience with Mastercam.
• Six months or more of experience with CNC Mills and CNC Router.
• Experience with Fanuc Controls in operation of CNC Mills or Router Machines.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate controlled, comfortable warehouse with heaters in the winter and large fans circulating air in the summer. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. The position is for the 3rd shift, working from Sunday to Thursday, 10 pm to 6:30 am, with Fridays as optional overtime days. The company is a smaller firm with around 35 employees and provides a 30-minute lunch break.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
