Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Supermarket in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist with loss prevention efforts. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with customers and team members, and respond to security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail store, exterior areas, loading and receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe store activity, and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
