If turning complex models into production-ready parts sounds like your kind of challenge, step into our Hartford, CT operation. You’ll program in Mastercam, collaborate on the floor, and help deliver mission-critical components for Aerospace, Defense, Firearms, and Medical customers.
Imagine thisA customer sends a demanding geometry and exacting tolerances. You open Mastercam, plan an efficient 5-axis strategy, verify, then move to the CNC lathe to set up, run, and inspect. You partner with engineering and production, make smart adjustments, and record what you learned so the next run is even better.
What you will do- Develop and optimize 5-axis CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-precision parts.
- Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform quality checks to verify parts meet drawings and specifications.
- Troubleshoot programming/machining issues and implement fixes.
- Document programs, setups, and revisions for repeatability.
- Stay current on CNC/CAM trends and improvements.
- Proven 5-axis CNC programming experience.
- Proficiency with Mastercam and CAM best practices.
- Strong grounding in CNC lathe operations and machining principles.
- Blueprint/technical drawing literacy.
- Sharp problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent; extra technical training/certifications are a plus.
