And you will do it from a city where world-class skiing, fly fishing, and trail access are not a weekend trip; they are a Tuesday.You will have the full backing of an established firm, with proven systems, an existing client base, a strong culture, and the infrastructure to support your growth, along with the latitude to build something you can genuinely call your own.The RoleThe Structural Engineering Team Leader for our Bozeman office will carry full ownership of team production, team leadership, client relationships, business development, and daily office operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a supervisory one. We are looking for someone who is equally energized by solving a complex structural problem, earning a client's repeat business, and making sure the people around them are set up to do their best work.What You Will DoTechnical Production and QualityMaintain meaningful personal production output, including complex structural projects with full engineer of record accountabilityProvide QA/QC of structural design work performed by all team engineers, and seal and stamp work in accordance with P.E. responsibilitiesMaintain and update firm wide engineering standards for production and design based on current codes and best practicesProject and Financial ManagementPrepare and oversee project proposals, fee estimates, specifications, budgets, schedules, and invoicesPlan, schedule, and coordinate project activities across the team to meet client deadlines and profitability targetsSet and forecast team financial goals, and monitor team utilization, project margins, and labor budgetsTeam Leadership and DevelopmentLead, manage, and develop the Bozeman engineering team through coaching, mentorship, consistent feedback, and performance accountabilityRecruit and develop local engineering talent at all levels as the office growsPartner with firm leadership on hiring decisions, team structure, and long term office growthLead weekly L10 team meetings, driving accountability, tracking priorities, and maintaining clear team communicationClient Relations and Business DevelopmentServe as the primary relationship owner for the Bozeman team's client portfolio, actively maintaining and growing those relationships to drive long term retention and repeat workLead business development through client retention, pursuit of new client relationships, and fee proposal developmentCollaborate with our Business Development and Marketing team on firm level strategy and market sector growthRepresent Tamarack Grove Engineering at industry events, professional organizations, and in the Bozeman communityOffice OperationsServe as the on-site point of contact for the Bozeman office, coordinating with our HR, IT, and administrative teams on office related needs.Manage daily office operations including supplies, facilities, and vendor communicationWhat We Are Looking ForMinimum 5 years of direct structural engineering industry experience, with demonstrated progression into project management and team leadershipE.I.T. or E.I. licensure is required.
