Registered Nurse, Emergency Room, Evenings, 24 hours, 3-11P

Schedule & Compensation Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $38.65 – $78.34 per hour Schedule: Holidays – Every Other Holiday (Sunday through Saturday) Weekends – Every Other Weekend Shift: 2 – Evening Shift, 8 Hours (United States of America) Hours per week: 24 Scheduled Hours: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM Cost Center: 10021 – 2340 Emergency Room Union: MNA‑Marlborough (Massachusetts Nurses Association) Major Responsibilities Utilize the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population. Perform patient assessment / reassessment according to standard procedure. Develop and coordinate individual plan of care including discharge planning. Direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting. Delegate appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level. Position Qualifications License / Certification / Education – Required: Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration; Basic Life Support (BLS) required for every RN unless Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is current in addition to unit‑specific certifications. Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Experience / Skills – Required: Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing. Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements when certification, licensure or registration is not required. Department‑specific competencies and measurements will be developed and maintained by the department. Managers will review these with position incumbents. Physical Demands Work is considered medium. Position requires work indoors in a patient-care environment.
