Purpose of the Role

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your work supports person-centered rehabilitation by turning therapy plans into safe, consistent progress residents can feel in daily life. You'll provide patient care and related activities as directed by the Staff Therapist, while following established medical practices, regulatory requirements, and Company policies.

Key responsibilities include:
- Treating patients as directed by the licensed therapist
- Protecting resident rights and ensuring kindness, dignity, and respect in every interaction
- Modeling a positive, professional image; sharing information and supporting teamwork
- Complying with all company and departmental procedures

Required qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program
- Successful completion of the certificate/state licensure process for Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants
- Current registration/licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care with dignity, respect, compassion, integrity, and safety

Your Day, In Motion

You arrive onsite and review the day's therapy schedule and notes, then move from one resident interaction to the next with steady focus on safety and comfort. Between sessions, you coordinate with the care team, document progress clearly, and adjust your pace to meet each resident where they are-especially when memory loss or anxiety changes how the moment unfolds. Throughout the day, you keep communication calm and respectful with residents and families, and you lean on your teammates when you need a second set of eyes or a quick check-in. By shift's end, you leave knowing small, consistent gains added up to real independence.
