Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations for multiple restaurant entities within V&E Hospitality Group. This role includes managing the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accurate journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and overseeing fixed asset accounting. The Accounting Manager will monitor cash flow, support budgeting and forecasting, and analyze financial performance to provide insights to leadership. Additional responsibilities include coordinating month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, supervising accounting staff, and collaborating with operations and finance teams to support business decisions. Qualifications Ability to prepare, review, and analyze Financial Statements, with strong Analytical Skills to interpret results and support decision-making. Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger maintenance, and core Finance principles relevant to a multi-entity hospitality environment. Experience managing Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation schedules, and asset reconciliations. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) is a plus. Several years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities, preferably in hospitality, retail, or multi-unit operations. Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and month-end/year-end closing procedures. Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; experience with ERP systems or restaurant accounting platforms is beneficial. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
