Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Essential Duties: Conduct recovery oriented and educational groups under thedirection of the Program Manager Engage patients in treatment through motivational interviewing andmotivational enhancement techniques Assist with monitoring patient engagement and communicate with thetreatment team regarding patient attendance, participation and anybarriers or needs to support treatment involvement Process incoming patients including basic orientation to program rules Support treatment plans by reporting client observations andsupport decisions concerning therapy, discipline and privilege (at aminimum twice per shift and subject to change depending on need) Assists case manager/counselor with client activities byimplementing scheduled and/or requested activities. Works cooperatively with members of the nursing and medical staffto monitor clients’ vital signs, observe urine drops, monitorself-administration of medications, monitor clients, and chart allpertinent data. Performs room and facility checks, at varying intervals, to ensureclient’s comfort, safety, and well-being. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (7:00a - 3:30p)with flexibilityto accommodate agency's need Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate: $18.26 - $22.00 per hour, based on certification Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a Drug Free Environment (includingTHC and/or CBD). Experience and Skills: Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma orequivalent.Must be at least 18 years old. Must have at least one yearof recovery from substance use, mental health or co-occurringsubstance use and mental health challenges. Must have certification ineither Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Peer Recovery Support(CPRS), or attain certification within one year of placement inposition.Demonstrates the ability to work within agency structure,accept supervision and participate as a member of a multi-disciplinaryteam, when applicable.
