Position: Saw Operator
Pay: $20.00
Shift: Will train on 1st shift, then move to 2nd shift (1:30 pm to 10:30 pm) - shift differential applies
Location: Peotone, IL
- Measure and cut steel accurately and safely.
- Use various saws to cut steel in a precise and efficient manner.
- Inspect safety guards and equipment operational features.
- Replenish fluids, cutting oils, and hydraulic oils as needed.
- Incorporate saw cutting into load stacking processes.
- Operate torch and banding equipment proficiently.
- Manage overhead cranes safely.
- Ability to read tape measures, micrometers, and a square accurately.
- Good math skills to ensure proper cuts.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Prior band saw experience is a plus.
