Inventory Control Coordinator (3rd Shift)

Shift: 10:00PM to 6:00AM – Compensation: $30.05 plus shift differential. Responsibilities Perform product inventory activities by confirming physical inventory quantity and location, and reporting variances. Manage inventory control activities: create, assign, and complete inventory control tasks; investigate and resolve discrepancies resulting from exception codes. Complete monthly cycle counts on all inventory locations (physical and virtual) and reconcile as needed. Oversee all physical customer returns; investigate customer claims related to shortages, overages or damages; communicate findings and provide research summary and responses. Lead warehouse team activities: coordinate, assign work tasks, report progress, and follow up. Investigate product shortages and ensure order fill rates are met without warehouse-controlled shortages. Create Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) to move products between warehouse locations as needed. Provide scheduling support to backfill vacancies and minimize department operation disruption. Execute required SAP transactions and complete all necessary documentation. Perform daily Powered Industrial Truck inspections, ensuring safe operation and reporting any concerns. Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety, quality programs, and regulatory requirements. Promptly report potential quality, food safety, or workplace safety hazards. Attend required training, shift meetings, and committees. Adhere to Saputo code of ethics and values. Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required); 2‑year degree in supply chain or inventory control is preferred. Two years of lead warehouse experience in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution center environment. Advanced computer skills with word processing, spreadsheet applications, and specialized inventory control software (WMS); SAP experience is a plus. Ability to operate material handling equipment. Strong document interpretation skills—customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures—to ensure audit accuracy. Proficiency in generating reports and business correspondence. Effective prioritization and multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment. Organized, efficient, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong mathematical abilities. Adaptability to changing organizational and operational needs. Physical Requirements Work in a manufacturing environment with noise, temperature changes (hot, wet, cold, humid); standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and maneuvering around equipment consistently throughout the shift. Frequent lifting up to 40lbs unassisted. Work with chemicals while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following approved chemical handling procedures. Good visual acuity with color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Fine manipulation and hand dexterity for operating tools and controls. Wear required PPE, including bump cap, hearing, eye protection, and other equipment as the position dictates.
