Investor Relations Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Investor Relations Representative for a direct hire opportunity in New York, NY with a growing private equity and alternative investments platform. This role is ideal for a client-focused investor services professional who understands private markets operations, capital activity, investor onboarding, and high-touch relationship management.

The Investor Relations Representative will serve as a key point of contact for investors throughout the full fund lifecycle, including onboarding, capital calls, distributions, reporting, account activity, and ongoing service needs. This is a strong opportunity to join a professional financial services environment with supportive leadership, collaborative teams, and exposure to institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the investor onboarding process from start to finish while ensuring compliance with internal policies, KYC/AML requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a primary contact for investors, responding to inquiries related to capital calls, distributions, fund performance, reporting, and account activity.
- Coordinate and process capital call notices, distribution notices, subscription activity, transfers, and related investor communications.
- Distribute investor materials, including financial statements, quarterly reports, fund notices, and client-facing documentation.
- Maintain accurate investor records in transfer agency, CRM, or investor servicing systems and support reconciliations, audits, and internal reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen communication standards, reduce operational risk, and maintain service-level expectations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $85,000 to $110,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: New York, NY.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage investor onboarding, account activation, and ongoing investor service workflows.
- Support capital calls, distributions, investor reporting cycles, and fund communication processes.
- Maintain investor records, reconcile data, and support compliance, audit, and operational review activities.
- Partner with compliance, fund operations, and client service teams to resolve investor issues and meet deadlines.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Approximately 5 or more years of experience in investor services, fund administration, transfer agency, private equity, hedge funds, or alternative investments.
- Strong understanding of private equity fund structures, capital call and distribution processes, and the investor lifecycle.
- Familiarity with KYC/AML requirements, investor onboarding workflows, and account documentation standards.
- Experience servicing institutional investors, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, or similar investor audiences.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience using investor servicing, transfer agency, CRM, or related fund operations platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or other alternative asset classes.
- Exposure to fund accounting, financial reporting, or investor reporting processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to private funds.
- Experience with eFront, Intralinks Data Room, or similar investor servicing and document management platforms.
