Innovamat is an educational organization specializing in mathematics education. Founded in Barcelona in 2017, Innovamat provides schools with a complete, research-based math program covering Early Childhood through Secondary Education, grounded in research across mathematics education, cognition, and neuroscience.

Innovamat also partners with leading thinkers and researchers in mathematics education, including Peter Liljedahl, author of Building Thinking Classrooms , and Brian Butterworth, a leading researcher in mathematical cognition and dyscalculia, bringing world-class expertise and perspectives into our broader work.

Our program integrates curriculum, teacher training, assessment, and intervention into a single coherent system. Today, Innovamat is present in 9 countries, partnering with 31,000+ teachers across 3,300+ schools and reaching more than 720,000 students. We are one of the few organizations in the sector with independently validated efficacy data from external research institutions, and the first non-American organization to pass the California State Board of Education adoption process for a core math curriculum.

About the Role and Why It’s Special ✨

Our Growth & Strategy Lead role sits at the intersection of strategy, commercial growth, and execution. You’ll work closely with our General Manager on strategic priorities — while also being close to the market: building relationships with district leaders, owning territory strategy, helping shape our GTM motion, and identifying opportunities for market expansion. It’s a role for someone who genuinely enjoys zooming out to think strategically and zooming in to understand the customer, test ideas, and make things happen.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape how we grow in the US while staying close to the schools, districts, and educators we serve — and see the impact of your work firsthand.

This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up : develop a network across the education ecosystem, shape our approach to the market, and eventually help build and lead the team as the region grows.

Key Responsibilities ????

1. Build Partnerships & Relationships

• Develop meaningful relationships with district leaders, educators, and key stakeholders across the Atlantic.

• Understand district priorities and challenges and identify opportunities for Innovamat to create value.

• Represent Innovamat at conferences, events, and within the broader education ecosystem.

2. Grow the Atlantic Market

• Develop and execute a thoughtful approach to building Innovamat’s presence across the region.

• Identify priority districts and communities where we can have the greatest impact.

• Lead partnerships from initial conversations through pilots, implementation, and long-term collaboration.

3. Support Strategy & Market Development

• Work closely with the General Manager on strategic projects and market initiatives.

• Bring insights from the market and our partners to help shape how Innovamat grows.

• Identify opportunities to improve our approach, messaging, and go-to-market model.

4. Build for the Future

• Help establish the foundations for Innovamat’s growth in the Atlantic.

• As the region develops, contribute to hiring, developing, and eventually leading a local team.

• Help build the playbook for expanding our partnership model into new markets.

What We’re Looking For ????

Experience

• Experience in a high-performing, fast-paced environment such as consulting, investment banking, tech, startups, education, or another entrepreneurial setting.

• Experience working with senior stakeholders, building partnerships, or developing new markets is a plus.

• A track record of taking ownership and making things happen.

Skills

• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

• Strategic and structured thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and execute.

• Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and build from scratch.

Location: Based in New York City and willing to travel ~50%.
