Payroll Coordinator

Job Title: Payroll Coordinator Department: Accounting/Finance Full Time Job Summary: The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing payroll for South Central Regional Medical Center and affiliated entities. This position also performs assigned accounts payable duties and assists with other accounting functions as needed while working closely with Human Resources, department managers, andAccountingstaff to ensure payroll and accounts payable activities are processed accurately andtimely. Minimum Qualifications: At least one (1) year of direct payroll experience, required; Working knowledge of payroll practices and basic accounting principles; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; Strong attention to detail; Good organizational and communication skills; Ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, ora relatedfield; At least one (1) year of Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred; Experience with ADP Workforce Now. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Process biweekly and monthly payroll in ADP Workforce Now; Review payroll for accuracy prior to processing; Audit timecards, pay rates, differentials, overtime, PTO, and other payroll items; Process payroll adjustments, manual checks, and off-cycle payrolls; Research and resolve payroll issues; Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee pay changes, new hires, transfers, and terminations; Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with payroll reconciliations; Assist with month-end payroll reporting; Process assigned accounts payable invoices; Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts; Assist with check runs and electronic payments; Respond to vendor and employee questions; Maintain payroll and accounts payable records; Assist with other accounting duties as assigned. Organizational Expectations: Represent the organization professionally; Maintain confidentiality of payroll and financial information; Promote accuracy, accountability, and compliance; Work collaboratively with Human Resources, department leaders, andAccountingstaff; Provide excellent customer service to employees and vendors;Comply withorganizational policies and procedures. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, use standard office equipment, and perform routine office tasks.
