Mobile Trailer Technician

As we continue to grow and expand as a company we are hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician for our Service Trucks in our Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, willing to jump in and help out where needed, clean driving record, and a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers.

SCHEDULES:

2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 4pm-1am (approx. 40-60 hours per week) plus a 10% pay shift differential

3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday 9pm-6am (approx. 40-60 hours per week) plus a 10% pay shift differential

Requirements

We'd love to have you as part of our team. The ideal candidate would have the following skills:

• Great work ethic
• Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
• Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
• Welding experience a plus
• Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
• Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
• Honesty and respect

Founded in 1982, North American Trailer is a distributor of quality branded parts, complete heavy-duty truck and trailer service, tank trailer service, mobile service, emergency service and tank/trailer sales. We have a brand-new state of the art facility in Inver Grove Heights, MN. We specialize in the repair of medium and heavy duty (class 4-8) trucks, school buses, commercial buses and RVs We utilize the best computers and software to aid in the diagnostic and servicing of the equipment. North American Trailer is affiliated with Blaine Brothers, Inc. Offering 24-hour service, 365 days a year. Our mobile service team comes to our customers with their rolling garages to get them back on the road in a timely manner with the combined nine locations and 27 service trucks.
