Human Resources Business Partner

Washington, DC | Contract Opportunity | 6+ Months Green Key Resources is partnering with a mission-driven organization to recruit an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support leaders and employees across a range of HR functions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic and hands-on support in employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, change management, and talent initiatives. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a consultative environment and enjoys partnering closely with leadership to solve complex people challenges. Key Responsibilities Serve as a strategic HR partner to assigned business units, providing guidance throughout the employee lifecycle. Advise managers and leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, coaching, and workplace concerns. Support organizational changes, team effectiveness initiatives, and workforce planning efforts. Coach leaders through performance issues, conflict resolution, and sensitive employee situations. Analyze workforce data and trends to identify opportunities and recommend actionable solutions. Develop and deliver clear, professional communications, including manager guidance, employee communications, and change management materials. Lead and support HR projects from planning through execution, ensuring successful implementation and stakeholder alignment. Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and internal stakeholders to deliver HR programs and initiatives. Conduct needs assessments and recommend process improvements to enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness. Utilize HRIS systems for reporting, analytics, and operational support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including HR Business Partner responsibilities. Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, and organizational consulting. Proven ability to influence and advise leaders at multiple levels of an organization. Experience supporting organizational change and driving HR initiatives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present people-related data. Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, or similar systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred. Master's degree preferred.
