Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) About the Role:
A well-established Japanese company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and consolidation activities across multiple U.S. entities.
This position will work closely with overseas headquarters, affiliated companies, external accounting firms, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in an international business environment. Key Responsibilities:

A well-established Japanese company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and consolidation activities across multiple U.S. entities.
This position will work closely with overseas headquarters, affiliated companies, external accounting firms, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in an international business environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including consolidated management accounting for multiple U.S. affiliated entities
- Prepare and submit monthly consolidated reporting packages using the parent company's consolidation reporting system
- Coordinate financial reporting and communication with overseas headquarters
- Process and manage payments through banking platforms
- Coordinate year-end closing activities with external accounting firms
- Prepare annual consolidated financial statements for tax and business reporting purposes
- Support implementation and migration to new accounting and financial systems
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Japanese language proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) required
- 5+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience
- Experience with consolidated financial reporting and month-end/year-end close processes
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation
- Experience working with international or multinational companies preferred
- Experience with ERP systems or financial consolidation systems preferred
- Advanced Excel and financial systems skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
