Mailroom Associate

Candidates who receive an offer will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test as a condition of employment. Mailroom Associate 4+Month Contract Atlanta, GA (onsite)

Responsible for performing mailroom and office services functions, including processing incoming and outgoing mail and packages, operating high-volume copying, scanning, and mail processing equipment, and handling shipping, receiving, and distribution tasks. The role requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-volume copy machines, scanners, and mail processing equipment.
• Perform copying, scanning, binding, and finishing tasks.
• Use image-handling software, MS Office, email systems, handheld devices, computers, and POS systems.
• Process, sort, distribute, and deliver incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, packages, and office supplies.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties.
• Inspect convenience copiers for quality, clear paper jams, and report equipment issues to technicians.
• Maintain management reports, supply inventories, daily meter logs, and service records.
• Calculate charges for completed jobs and maintain billing logs as required.
• Respond to and coordinate customer service calls and answer questions regarding job status or feasibility.
• Deliver completed jobs to designated locations within and outside the site.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked copier and work areas.
• Use shrink-wrap machines, paper cutters, hole drillers, bindery equipment, joggers, tape machines, stackers, electric staplers, scales, calculators, fax machines, and postage meters as required.
• Perform filing, document purging, and archiving duties.
• Travel between customer buildings when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous mailroom, warehouse, retail, or related copy services experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and email.
• Technical aptitude with printers, copiers, postage machines, and other office equipment.
• Good customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 400 pounds on wheels.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent physical activities, including walking, bending, reaching, and moving materials.
• Comfortable using handheld devices, computers, and POS systems.
