Geriatrics Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) Location: Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician-directed, subject to licensure. Position Overview This opportunity is for physicians who want to practice independently while receiving structured operational support for the non‑clinical business functions of their own practice. Physicians maintain ownership and clinical control of their medical entity, while MedCBO offers non‑clinical administrative and operational support. The practice owner is fully responsible for clinical decisions, patient care policies, and overall practice management. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope Develop professional relationships within the medical community Coordinate payer credentialing with physician participation as required Determine clinical services offered Manage clinical quality and patient experience Maintain clinical autonomy and govern clinical operations Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation (EHR, telehealth, workflow systems) Credentialing, enrollment, and facility privileging coordination Supply chain and vendor coordination Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Compensation Compensation is derived from the physician‑owned practice and is not a salary.
