Work Environment

This position primarily takes place onsite at our hospital facility, where you will be part of a dynamic team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other healthcare professionals. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and executing personalized treatment plans tailored to patients' rehabilitation goals.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, motor activities, stretches, and functional tasks to enhance mobility, strength, and well-being.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, effective exercise techniques, and home programs to support their rehabilitation efforts outside of the clinic.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and thermotherapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Document patient progress accurately, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and ensure all equipment is properly ready for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care, maximizing rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide emotional support, motivation, and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive rehabilitation atmosphere.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and rights are respected in all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a varied patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients, each with their unique rehabilitation needs. With personalized care plans, you'll work with patients recovering from surgeries, experiencing pain management issues, or seeking to regain independence following neurological events or orthopedic injuries. Your role is crucial in guiding patients through their recovery process and instilling confidence in their ability to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various therapeutic techniques relevant to physical therapy.
• Experience in administering therapeutic modalities and performing exercises under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
