Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:


Seeking a highly skilled ER RN to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ideal candidate must be prepared to start within the upcoming week and meet all licensing and certification requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations, from neonates to geriatrics.
• Manage patient assessments, triage, and stabilization promptly and accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy and respiratory support.
• Document patient information thoroughly using the Epic electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including respiratory, ancillary staff, and advanced practice clinicians.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, trauma levels, and safety standards, including confidentiality and infection control.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY RN license or eligible for licensure, with proof of application and applied date.
• Minimum of 1 year of ER or acute care nursing experience.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC; NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• Demonstrated experience with Epic EMR from within the past 2 years.
• Ability to work within higher patient nurse ratios of 1:4 or greater during busy shifts.
• Reliable transportation for commuting in an area with no public transit access.
