Mechanical Designer- Piping

Title : Mechanical Designer- Piping Location : Hammond, IN Hire Type : Direct Compensation : $90K-105K + Overtime + Bonus Bonus/ Incentives/ Stock Options: ESOP Must have Skill Set : P&ID's, Solidworks Overview: The Mechanical Designer is responsible for heavy industrial piping design and plant layout. Key duties include translating field sketches into finished 3D CAD/Solidworks construction documents, evaluating plant scopes, managing schedules, and coordinating with project managers and engineers to meet strict project budgets. Job Duties: Knowledge of multi-discipline project execution, construction methods, and local/industry compliance codes. Creating detailed design, process, and construction drawings. Reviewing engineering calculations, specialty item lists, and equipment data sheets. Adhering to project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Collaborating with cross-functional disciplines (like structural or electrical teams) to resolve design conflicts Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree. Experience: 5 to 7 years of background working in heavy industrial piping design and plant layout. Software: Strong proficiency in 3D AutoCAD, Cloud Scanning Software, and Solidworks.
