IT Procurement Specialist

LOCATION Charlotte, North Carolina | Onsite COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE $45.00-$55.00 per hour 12-Month Assignment Full-Time, W2 Start Date: TBD ROLE IMPACT The IT Procurement Specialist supports strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across technology categories including software, hardware, telecom, and contingent labor services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring supplier partnerships, contract management, and sourcing strategies align with business objectives, operational efficiency goals, and long-term technology initiatives. Success in this position is measured through effective supplier engagement, cost optimization, contract execution, and the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support and manage sourcing activities for IT software, hardware, telecom, and labor-related procurement initiatives. Lead supplier engagement activities including RFI and RFP development, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution. Collaborate with category managers and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and drive project completion. Prepare and deliver sourcing presentations, cost analyses, supplier recommendations, and strategic alternatives for stakeholder review and approval. Maintain accurate sourcing, supplier, and contract data within procurement systems and provide regular reporting on project status and outcomes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, RFI/RFP processes, and procurement initiatives. Ability to lead multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while meeting competing deadlines and business priorities. Bachelor's degree preferred. CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS Procurement and sourcing management platforms Contract lifecycle management systems Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools Supplier performance and spend analysis tools Data tracking and procurement reporting systems PREFERRED SKILLS Experience with Ariba preferred.
