Lead Maintenance Technician (Fort Drum)

Lead Maintenance TechnicianWinnCompanies is looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our military housing team at Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes located in Fort Drum, NY. In this role, you will provide quality control functions, assist in coordination of subcontracted activities and assist with training and coaching of maintenance staff. You will be responsible to perform maintenance functions in the community, including rental units, office buildings, residential areas, grounds and parking lots. You will also perform general maintenance and repair of building structures and associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sanitary systems and equipment.Responsibilities:Respond to service calls, complete COM work and other property maintenance requirementsProvide maintenance of property such as cleaning, painting, interior/exterior decorating and maintenance, lawn maintenance, debris removal, plumbing, electrical work, smoke detector maintenance, repair or replacement of lights, roof, heating/air systems maintenance, appliance repairs, etc.Transport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other electrical and gas appliancesOn-call emergency repairs and completes repairs as directed by immediate supervisor or other organization management representativesLoad and unload trucks and other conveyances; move supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks; stack materials for storage or binning; collect refuse and salvageable materialsTransport equipment, furnishings and appliances to job sitesRepair and fabricate window and door screens and framesDig, fill and tamp earth excavations; level grounds using pick, shovel, tamper and rake; shovel concrete; clean culverts and ditches; cut tree and brush; operate power tools and lawn mowersRemove floor tile, sheet vinyl, ceramic floor tile and plywood. Remove damaged drywallOperate power blowers or use brooms to clean roof tops, sidewalks and driveways of leaves and debris. Ensure work-site clean upResolution of any maintenance related issues with residents concerning maintenance department and condition of the home. Elevate issue up to supervisor as needed.
