An established retail pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to support its Newport, PA location with a direct hire opportunity. This role offers variable day and afternoon shifts, totaling approximately 74 hours bi-weekly, with an immediate start date available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with store operations to drive associate engagement and communicate pharmacy and company strategies
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in dispensing prescriptions through thorough Drug Utilization Review and quality assurance aligned with state and federal regulations
• Manage the pharmacy department to maximize profitability and prescription growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) where available
• Control inventory effectively by tracking sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demands
• Align department performance with key metrics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of pharmacy operations
• Provide exceptional customer service, counseling patients on medical-related concerns and building trust
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline as needed
• Maintain pharmacy security, cleanliness, and organization while addressing customer inquiries and concerns
• Liaise with healthcare providers and utilize reference materials to resolve prescription issues
• Prioritize and complete pharmacy department tasks such as cycle counts, inventory control, and managing will-calls

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
