It's the perfect time to join this growing organization as we establish our presence in Texas!Job Description And PurposeThe Shop Service Technician will be responsible for performing planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and troubleshooting on various models of Linde, Baoli and competitive brands of forklifts and material handling equipment. A background or experience in maintaining Lift Trucks / Forklifts is REQUIRED.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesRead and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematicsRepair or replace major system components, including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, LPG systems, power steering, transmissions, and engines with limited supervisionProperly identify and order all necessary replacement partsTroubleshoot and diagnose most truck componentsPerform engine tune-ups on most makes of equipment without supervisionPerform proper PM's in a timely mannerTroubleshoot and diagnose most complex electrical systems on internal combustion (IC) and electric trucksBe able to use all special tools properly, and maintain and properly use the normal tools of the tradeAssist with training/mentoring apprentice mechanics through on-the-job trainingFollow all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies, and at customer's sitesDemonstrate exceptional customer service skills, properly and respectfully representing the company at all times while on the jobWork across the entire HTX Material Handling footprint to do the right thing for all customersPerform other duties as required or assigned by managementRequired QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.High school diploma / G.E.D / Other Technical training.Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in repair and maintenance on industrial equipment and/or machinesValid Driver's License (possess and maintain during employment), good driving recordDemonstrated ability to repair equipment per skill levelBasic Computer knowledge including use of Personal Computers, Tablets, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)Must be fluent in English.
