Description Dental Assistant - Pediatric Dental Practice We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing pediatric dental practice. Our ideal candidate enjoys working with children, creates a positive and comforting experience for patients and their families, and is committed to providing exceptional clinical support. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and fully stocked. Assist the dentist and hygienist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Welcome and help children feel at ease throughout their visit by creating a fun, positive experience. Take digital dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations. Provide patient and parent education on oral hygiene, home care, and post-treatment instructions. Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Accurately document patient treatment and update clinical records. Assist with charting, scheduling follow-up appointments, and coordinating with the front office as needed. Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to provide outstanding patient care and maintain an efficient workflow. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Current Dental Assistant certification. Current CPR/BLS certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, patient, and compassionate demeanor with a passion for working with children. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards. Preferred Qualifications Pediatric dental assisting experience. Experience using Open Dental practice management software. Radiologic Proficiency Certification (must be completed within 90 days of hire). Coronal Polish Certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
