Senior Tax Advisor – Fully Remote

$120,000–$150,000 Base + Bonus | 50-Hour Busy Seasons | Advisory Focus

If you're an experienced tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients but is tired of spending every busy season buried in compliance work, this opportunity is worth a conversation.

We're partnering confidentially with a growing finance firm that has built its tax practice differently. Located in the Midwest.

A dedicated preparation team handles much of the compliance work, allowing senior professionals to focus on tax strategy, planning, and client relationships .

• Fully remote
• $120,000–$150,000 base salary , depending on experience
• Quarterly profit-sharing bonus
• Busy seasons designed around approximately 50 hours per week
• True advisory role rather than compliance management
• Established portfolio of approximately 50–60 client relationships
• CPE, licensing, and advanced tax training covered

You'll serve as the primary tax advisor to business owners and high-net-worth clients, helping them make smarter tax and financial decisions throughout the year.

Responsibilities include:

• Proactive tax planning and strategy
• Multi-year projections and scenario modeling
• Entity structure and owner compensation planning
• Retirement, real estate, and equipment-related tax strategies
• Multi-state tax considerations
• Business acquisitions and ownership transitions
• Leading client meetings and coordinating strategy implementation
• Mentoring developing tax professionals

• 5–10+ years of public accounting tax experience
• CPA/EA required
• Strong experience with closely held businesses and/or HNW clients
• Comfortable owning client relationships and leading advisory conversations
• Professional-services experience is highly desirable
