About the Position

Job Title: RN - PCU Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital PCU experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital PCU experience - BLS & ACLS certifications Description: We are seeking a dedicated RN for a PCU assignment. The unit consists of 45 beds and a staff of approximately 90. Staffing includes a charge nurse and 9-10 RNs on both day and night shifts, along with 4-5 MSTs. Patient ratios are typically 4-5 patients per nurse. Key equipment utilized on the unit includes lifts, dynamap, and cardiac monitoring equipment. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Candidates with cardiac and ICU experience will be prioritized. Experience with cardiac drips, cardiac catheters, chest tube management, wound care, and TPN/lipids is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess a team-oriented attitude and a positive demeanor towards staff and providers. Recent upgrades include new lift equipment and mobile technology.
