Associate Attorney

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team and handle a diverse caseload focused primarily on personal injury matters. The ideal candidate will have solid litigation experience, a strong client-service ethos, and the ability to manage cases from intake through trial. Experience or interest in consumer protection and lemon law is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a personal injury and general litigation caseload from intake through resolution, including client contact and case strategy.
• Perform factual and legal investigation; draft pleadings, complaints, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive memoranda, briefs, and court filings.
• Handle depositions, witness preparation, mediation, settlement negotiations and trial preparation.
• Develop case strategies and collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters.
• Maintain accurate case files and billing records in the firm’s case management system.
• Draft demand letters, settlement agreements and other transactional documents as needed.
• Communicate regularly and clearly with clients, opposing counsel, insurers and court personnel.
• Participate in courtroom hearings and trials as needed and prepare exhibits and trial notebooks.
• Stay current on changes in personal injury, consumer protection and lemon law statutes and case law.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in the hiring state.
• Minimum 2+ years of litigation experience with demonstrable work on personal injury matters; trial experience preferred.
• Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, taking depositions and motion practice.
• Excellent oral and written advocacy, negotiation and client counseling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with e-filing, case management software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Nice to have: experience or familiarity with consumer protection claims and lemon law litigation.
• High professional integrity, strong attention to detail, and a client-focused approach to legal practice.
