Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teacher Certification (TX SPED License)
• Experience working in life skills or self-contained special education settings preferred
• Ability to adapt curriculum to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Dedication to creating an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction for a group of elementary students in a life skills classroom
• Develop, modify, and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Monitor and document academic and behavioral progress
• Foster a safe, supportive space that encourages students’ social, emotional, and functional skill development
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and hands-on activities to promote engagement and meaningful learning
