Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description

Join a leading global supplier of Train Connection Systems, renowned for its innovative products and over 77 years of experience in providing safe and reliable train connections. This position is based in our main sales and operations facility in Charlotte, NC. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will contribute to the success and development of our operations by assembling and maintaining our cutting-edge products.

• Always work safely and report health and safety risks at the workplace.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly according to specified requirements.
• Conduct pre-delivery tests and document results after approval.
• Document products in the ITC-list as per requirements.
• Report time in the ERP system or similar.
• Support colleagues and engage in cross-functional tasks when needed.
• Maintain a clean working area following 5S principles and perform necessary equipment overhauls.
• Participate in improvement groups and suggest improvements.
• Clean, disassemble, repair, and overhaul TCS products based on customer orders.
• Document repairs and overhauls according to procedures.
• Assist in receiving, shipping, inspection, and picking when required.

• Passion for working with hands and using tools such as wrenches, impact guns, mics, and calipers.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Comfortable with hand tools like drills, table saws, and pneumatic nail guns.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 70lbs.

• Prefer 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or production.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
• Good organizational skills and effective communication abilities.
• Problem-solving skills and critical thinking to resolve issues.
• Must be dependable with attention to detail and work without supervision.
• Reliable transportation and legible handwriting.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus.

Work in a dynamic facility with shifts from 6:30 AM to 3 PM or 7 AM to 3:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. Ensure compliance with procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment. The role requires prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks, with manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination. Employees must wear gloves and ear protection as part of the standard attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
